They originated from Norway in 1840 and later in Europe, Russia, North America, and Japan. Today these are no longer used by fishermen. In the 1900s these glass floats were abundant in Japan and due to the nature of the open ocean sometimes these floats would break loose from their nets. This caused them to free float the Pacific and follow its current towards the beaches of the west coasts of north America were they are commonly found!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI work with 100% Moreno wool felt, including the stuffing inside.
