I work with 100% merino wool felt to create my soft sculptures, even the stuffing is wool!
Glass floats were historically used for fishing, to keep nets a float. They
originated from Norway in 1840 and later in Europe, Russia, North America, and Japan. Today these are no longer used by fishermen. In the 1900s these glass floats were abundant in Japan and due to the nature of the open ocean sometimes these floats would break loose from their nets. This caused them to free float the Pacific and follow its current towards the beaches of the west coasts of north America were they are commonly found!

Q. Do you sell patterns?
A. Not at the moment, however I am working on one!
Q. What are these? What are they used for?
A. Its a soft sculpture! I've always been enamored with old glass fish
floats. They are often found without their original nets, due to the wear and tear they face crossing the Pacific ocean, I love to give them new life with these sculptures!
Q. Can I get a different animal made? Does it have to be a fish?
A.Of course! It does not have to be a fish but due to the ornamental float I would prefer to stick with marine animals and such! Fossil,
prehistoric, and even fantasy creatures are welcome!
Q.Do I have to follow realistic colors?
A. Nope! I've made a sea glass color inspired Arapaima as a custom in the past. I'd love to do different color pallets!
Q.Can I hang these outside?
A. No, I would not recommend this as they are made from felt and will
eventually get damaged from weather. HOWEVER I would be open to making
one that can!

I wish I could take on each and every custom, but I am only one
person and it does take a significant amount of time and labor to make
these.
That being said I do open customs occasionally. Slots are
taken via application or auction. If customs are open you will see that
on this page!

Payment Via Square Invoice. Half up front, half upon completion.
